One of the best flavor combos of all time is peanut butter and banana. Am I right? Even if you’re not a fan, maybe after this little inventive twist you might be.

One of my go-to lunches is a peanut butter and banana sandwich. I spend lots of time spreading the peanut butter and slicing and placing the banana. Sometimes by the time that I’m finished preparing my sandwich, I may even let out a little sigh. But it’s worth it most days.

I popped into the kitchen the other day to make one of these babies when this thought crossed my mind. What if I used a hot dog bun in place of bread and a banana in place of a hot dog? The peanut butter could be the ketchup! Oh yes, it was a light bulb moment. Sadly I was all alone and no one was there to share in my excitement for this banana dog, but you can bet your bonnet that I told my hubby later on that day. And I get to share this with YOU today!
